Terms
The rules of the deal
What we do, what you bring, what doesn't depend on us and what happens if something goes sideways. No small print.
Who we are and what we do
Bexpat is the agency that runs moves to Thailand: the visa, the arrival, the apartment and your first days. Separately from the move we offer other services —forming a US LLC, DTV visa support and tax orientation—, each hired on its own. These terms cover this site and any service you hire from us. For anything at all, [email protected].
What you read here is orientation, not advice
The guides, articles and calculators on this site are general information, dated as shown, to give you a picture. They are not legal or tax advice for your case, and the calculator figures are estimates, not a tax return. Before you decide anything with consequences, we talk about your actual case — and if it needs a local professional, we say so.
How you hire us
It starts with a free first call, no strings attached. If the job goes ahead, we send you in writing the scope —exactly what we do— and the fees, agreed before we start. Until you accept that in writing there is no contract and we charge nothing. Each service is hired on its own: taking one doesn't commit you to the rest.
What you bring
Documentation that is truthful, complete and on time. Files fall apart over papers that arrive late or don't say what they seemed to, and that part is on you. Your flight and your insurance you book yourself, in your name, as with the official fees and the flat deposit, which are paid to whoever is owed them.
What is out of our hands
We prepare your application as well as it can be prepared, but the decision belongs to immigration, the consulate or the bank, and we don't guarantee it: it is up to them alone. Any timings we give are indicative, drawn from similar cases, not a promised date. And rules change: if they change mid-case, we tell you and rework the plan.
Payments, cancellation and refunds
What was agreed in writing before we started governs: the amount, when it is paid and what it covers are all in there. If we see your plan isn't viable as you have it in mind, we tell you before charging you and we stop. If you are the one who cancels once work has begun, we settle the part already done and any fees or third-party payments already made, which are not ours to return. Any refund goes back the same way you paid. As a consumer resident in Spain you also have the right of withdrawal the law gives you; if you want us to start within that period, ask and we confirm it in writing.
How far we answer
We answer for our own work. Our liability is limited to the fees you have paid us for the service in question, and does not extend to third parties' decisions —immigration, consulates, banks, landlords, providers— or to indirect damages such as lost profit or a missed opportunity. None of this cuts into the rights the law gives you as a consumer.
What's on this site is ours
The texts, guides, calculators, design and the Bexpat name are ours. Read them, share them and quote them with a link to the source. Copying them for a similar service, or reusing them commercially, no.
Third-party links and tools
This site uses tools that aren't ours —Cal.com's calendar, WhatsApp, Meta's— and links to official third-party pages. Each has its own terms and its own policy, and we don't answer for their content or their changes. What each one does with your data is in privacy and in cookies.
Governing law and courts
Spanish law applies to this relationship. If a disagreement can't be settled by talking, it goes to the courts the law points to; as a consumer resident in Spain, those of your own domicile.
Contact and changes
For anything about these terms, [email protected]. If we change them we update the date; a job already under way keeps the terms you accepted when you hired it. This version is from 8 September 2026.
