Your data, in plain sight
What you give us, what we use it for, who else sees it, and how to get it back or have it deleted. No small print, like everything else here.
Who handles your data
Bexpat, the agency that runs moves to Thailand and publishes this site. For anything on this page, write to [email protected]. We answer, not a form.
What we collect and where it comes from
Everything we hold, you gave us, through one of these:
- Booking the call. The calendar is Cal.com's: your name, your email, the slot you pick and whatever you write in the context field.
- Email and WhatsApp. Whatever you send to [email protected] or over WhatsApp, with the address or number attached to it.
- The mailing list. Your address only, and only if you give it to us.
- Your file, if you hire us. Passport, income, work and family details: whatever your visa route asks for, not one field more.
- Visiting the site. We count visits with Plausible, which uses no cookies and stores no IP. If you accept the notice, the Meta pixel loads too. The detail is in cookies and analytics.
What we use it for, and on what basis
- Preparing and delivering the service —the assessment, the visa file, the flat search, the separate services—: performing the contract, and the steps leading to it.
- Answering you when you write without being a client: our legitimate interest in replying to people who ask.
- Knowing how many people read us, in aggregate and without cookies: legitimate interest, with the least intrusive tool we could find.
- The Meta pixel and the mailing list: only with your consent, which you can withdraw whenever you like.
- Invoicing and keeping what the law requires: legal obligation.
Who we share it with
With whoever the move needs, and nobody else. We never sell or hand your data to third parties for their advertising.
- Tools we use: Cal.com (bookings), Resend (email and the list), Cloudflare (the site's hosting), Plausible (cookieless analytics) and Meta (the pixel, only if you accept it).
- Recipients the service requires: consulates and Thai immigration, landlords and estate agents for the flat contract, and —in the separate services— the provider that forms the LLC or the local tax professional.
The client area lives in a different system, at app.bexpat.agency, and shows you its own notice when you sign in.
Data that leaves the European Union
It comes with the service: moving to Thailand means your documents reach a consulate and Thai immigration. With the providers listed above that sit outside the EU we work under the standard contractual clauses the European regulation requires.
How long we keep it
Messages and your file, for as long as the relationship lasts and afterwards for the legal and liability periods. Invoicing, for as long as the law says. Analytics is aggregated and carries no name of yours. Your choice about the pixel stays in your browser until you change it in cookies.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your data, for corrections, for deletion, to restrict how we use it, to object to a use, or to take it elsewhere. And if you gave consent, you can withdraw it without affecting what was done before.
Write to [email protected]. If you think we handled it badly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
How we protect it
Only the people working on your case have access, and we keep no copies of what is no longer needed.
Minors
This site is not aimed at minors. Where a file involves children, their details are provided by the parent or guardian, for the family visa.
Changes to this policy
If something relevant changes, we change it here and update the date. This version is from 8 September 2026.
What we measure on the site, with what, and how to change your mind is in cookies and analytics. The terms of the service are in terms.
